The purpose of the leveling casters

July 25, 2025

The level casters (also known as leveling casters, leveling base feet, or level adjustment wheels) are a type of industrial casters that possess both mobility and precise leveling capabilities. Their primary function is to address the following two key requirements:

1. **Easy mobility:** Just like ordinary casters, it enables the equipment or device to be easily pushed, pulled or turned when needed.

2. **Precise leveling and stable support:** After the equipment is moved to the designated position, it can **precisely adjust the height of the casters**, allowing the equipment to reach and maintain a **perfectly level** state, while providing **rigid and stable support** and eliminating any shaking.

Its main uses and application scenarios include:

1. **Precision Machinery:**

*   **Machine Tools:** Lathe, milling machine, grinding machine, machining center, etc. The equipment must be absolutely level to ensure processing accuracy and prevent vibration from affecting the quality of the workpiece and the lifespan of the cutting tools. It needs to be quickly and precisely leveled after movement.

*   **Measurement and Inspection Equipment:** Three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine, optical measuring instrument, precision balance, laser tracker, etc. Any slight tilt will lead to measurement errors.

*   **Printing Equipment:** Large printing machines require strict levelness to ensure the accuracy of registration.

*   **Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment:** High requirements for vibration and levelness.

2. **Laboratory Equipment:**

*  Spectrometers, chromatographs, centrifuges, incubators, vibration tables, etc. The accuracy and reproducibility of experimental results often depend on the proper placement and stability of the equipment.

3. **Medical Equipment:**

*   Medical imaging equipment: Large-scale devices such as MRI, CT, and X-ray machines may require fine-tuning of their positions during installation and subsequent maintenance. After that, they must be precisely leveled to ensure imaging quality and
